Chinese New Year 2012

Last night, I went to Times Square at Bukit Bintang with my best friend, Xyn Jou. Every year, I got a plan that go all around the shopping center. The main thing is not shopping, but is to have a look at the decoration of each shopping center. Wondering why I do so? This is because when I look on their decoration, it made me think of my lovely family. But, the disadvantage is they made me want to go home immediately. The design is so nice; fully contain the feeling of Chinese New Year. I just like to watch them the whole day and take some pictures of the decoration. But, unfortunately, this year, I am just able to watch the decoration at Times Square. I lack of time to go other shopping center to see their decoration.

This is the one that I took at Times Square. It is a big tree stand in the middle of the shopping center.

Finally, this is what I have done for her. I know it is not that nice. I lack of time to do.  But, I do love my drawing. This is what can I do for her. Hope she like it.

Less is more . More is less

Today, Mr zul ask us to search on what is the meaning of less is more and more is less. Actually, I heard these quote before. And, I just can only define one of them. I am confused when both of these words stand together. Since less is more, then why there is still more is less? It is a very confused question/quote.

Less is more
In my opinion, less is more is about a design that simple and clear that lead to a good design. This phrase was first found in print in Andrea del Sarto, a poem by Robert Browning in 1855.

Who strive - you don't know how the others strive
To paint a little thing like that you smeared
Carelessly passing with your robes afloat,-
Yet do much less, so much less, Someone says,
(I know his name, no matter) - so much less!
Well, less is more, Lucrezia.

The phrase is often associated with the architect and furniture designer Ludwig Mies Van Der Rohe, who is one of the founders of modern architecture and a proponent of simplicity of style.

More is less
In my view, more is less stand for is, the design with a complicated design is actually looks less in it. Or have to say so, the design content will be consider unrelated and they are too more.

As an example, what do you actually accomplish by adding accessibility widgets to a web site? If you have added them to a global element, to make them available throughout the site, you have made your site more complex: there’s more information on every page which needs to be sorted through or skipped over. You have added an additional technical element which needs to be supported and maintainedas browsers change, you’ll need to be rechecking not just your default settings, but all of the various combinations you’re providing, as well.
